"Juventus" coach Conte: I have returned home © EuroFootball.com

Having signed a two-year contract with Turin club the day before yesterday, the new team strategist Antonio Conte feels like he has returned home.

The former Turin team player spent almost his entire professional football career wearing the jersey of the 'old lady' and for a long time - the captain's armband.

"I thank the club for giving me the opportunity to return home and fulfilling my dream. I returned with six years of coaching experience," Conte said.

"Throughout my coaching career, I had several ideas about football that changed depending on the players at my disposal.

I like teams that control the ball. We must dictate the game on the field. I like it when the team plays confidently and I cannot stand it when players retreat.

"In the team of Juventus, sacrifice, dedication, and hard work must be above all,"

There are quite a few speculations in the press about Conte's playing strategy, which Andrea Pirlo, the recently signed midfielder with Juventus, doesn't fit into.

"I will work with Giuseppe Marotta to create a competent team. Our opinions and ideas coincide.

I love Juventus, but I wouldn't have signed a contract if I weren't guaranteed that the club has ambitious goals. The most important thing is to properly use the available funds in the player market.

I am glad to have Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio at my disposal. They are both excellent players who deserve to play for Juve.

Alessandro Del Piero and Gianluigi Buffon should give the team more strength, I hope they will do so.

The foundations of the team are already set, so there will be no more revolutions. We must motivate the players and make them eager to prove their worth. This is the most important thing.

The infrastructure of Juventus is ideal for a coach who wants to lead the team to victories. Do I lack experience? Only I can prove that this is not true. I have earned this opportunity through my work," Conte affirmed.
