Strategist Jean Fernandez has resigned from his duties, further fueling speculation that he may soon replace Didier Deschamps at the helm of Marseille.
"The decision was not easy to make," the specialist told "L'Yonne Republicaine". "I thought a lot, because it is not easy to give up something you have been accustomed to for five years."
Fernandez started working with the Auxerre team in 2006, when he arrived from Marseille. Now he is considered a contender to possibly replace the potentially departing Didier Deschamps.
"I have not yet decided where I will continue my career," the specialist confirmed.
