Mark Hughes is stepping down from his position as head coach in London. The specialist is linked with a move to Aston Villa in Birmingham, although he denies these rumors.
"I am a young and ambitious coach, so I want to gain as much varied experience as possible," said the 47-year-old strategist. "I believe that I have worked successfully and Fulham can continue moving forward."
He also wants to assure that no other club had contacted him. "No one from the outside influenced my decision."
Fulham finished 8th in the English championship and secured a ticket to the Europa League tournament, as they were the most disciplined team in the Premier League.
