Amsterdam club revealed that on August 3 they are planning to hold a farewell match for legendary goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, inviting many former teammates from the Dutch national team.
The 40-year-old goalkeeper said goodbye to professional football after losing in the Champions League final, having played for Ajax from 1991 to 1999 and appearing in 311 matches.
Later, Van der Sar represented Turin's Juventus, London's Fulham, and finally Manchester United, where he spent six years and played in 266 matches.
