On Sunday, matches of the 23rd round were played in the Italian top league. The gap between the championship leaders has again decreased to two points, as "Milan" took advantage of yesterday's defeat of "Juventus", while the "Lithuanian" clubs experienced setbacks.
In the central round match, "Milan" played at home against "Lazio" and the Italian champions managed to snatch a victory - the visitors took the lead after M. Oddo converted a penalty, but the result was equalized by A. Shevchenko with a great penalty kick after returning from injury, and the winning goal was scored by former "Lazio" player H. Crespo in the final moments of the match.
"Inter" remains unbeaten this season, although the Milan club players played to a draw for the umpteenth time, and had to come from behind significantly, as they were left with ten men and a two-goal deficit in the match against "Parma".
"Inter" managed to capitalize on the draw of "Udinese", beating "Brescia" away and returning to third place. "Roma" remained in sixth place, unable to break the resistance of the "Bologna" team at home.
