Officially signed a long-term contract with safe Jordan Henderson, for which they paid about 22 million euros.
The 20-year-old footballer passed a medical examination on Thursday and agreed on personal contract terms.
"I am extremely happy and looking forward to the season," said Henderson. "Of course, leaving my hometown team is not easy, I have supported them my whole life. But I am optimistic about the future and I think it will be a great opportunity for me."
It was thought that according to the deal, "Liverpool" forward David N'gog would also move to "Sunderland," but so far it has not happened.
