London's managing director Ron Gourlay hopes that a new club manager will be appointed within the next two weeks.

The English team is searching for a new strategist after Italian Carlo Ancelotti was dismissed from his duties in May. Guus Hiddink is named as the main candidate to replace him.

"I hope that within a week or two we will be able to announce the new manager," said Gourlay. "We also hope to acquire two or three new players. We have agreed on what interests us."

However, one of the Chelsea leaders did not disclose whether the new manager will be Hiddink: "Negotiations are going well, but I will not reveal any names. I do not want to spread rumors, we will announce when there is news."
