Club strengthens its defense by acquiring defender Joris Mathijsen for about 3 million euros.
The Spanish team signed a two-year contract with the Dutch national team player.
This is the third purchase for "Malaga" this summer. Earlier, the team was joined by Spanish defender Nacho Monreal and veteran striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Last season, "Malaga" barely managed to retain its place in the top league of Spain, conceding a whopping 68 goals throughout the season.
