Fernando Torres insists he does not regret his decision to leave the club, although he admits that last season was his worst in England.
In January, the Spaniard left the Liverpool team and moved to Chelsea for more than 58 million euros, but only scored one goal in 18 matches. Because of this, the most expensive player in the Premier League received a lot of criticism.
"Last season was the worst for me since I arrived in England," Torres told The Sun. "The injury I suffered in the World Cup did not allow me to play as I would have liked.
"Twelve goals in a season is very little. But I never played at 100 percent, so I just want to forget everything. I do not regret moving to Chelsea. I believe it will be very hard to beat this team."
It was said that Torres' acquisition from the London team could push out another forward, Didier Drogba.
"I have no problems with Drogba. I openly say: we are close. He is an amazing player, so our competition can only benefit the club," Torres said.
And he added: "We are the main contenders to take the English champions title from Man Utd."
