Former Czech national team defender Pavel Nedved was recognized as the best Czech footballer of 2004.
This trophy footballer has already earned for the fourth time - before that, he triumphed in these elections in 1998, 2000, and 2003.
In the elections, in which country footballers and coaches voted, the Czech collected 4817 points and even surpassed forward Milan Baroš by 601 points. In third place was London goalkeeper Petr Cech.
The best national team coach was elected national team strategist Karel Brückner.
