The new head coach of London will be the young Andre Villas Boas, BBC announces.

The 33-year-old specialist won the national championship, the country's cup, and the UEFA Europa League tournament with Porto last season.

Villas Boas' contract included a 15 million euro buyout clause, which Chelsea is prepared to pay.

Porto officially confirmed that a club has offered the stipulated compensation, so the Portuguese cannot stop the deal.

Guus Hiddink, who has been considered the favorite to replace Carlo Ancelotti, who was dismissed in May, but Chelsea chose Villas Boas, who speaks English fluently and has worked with former London team manager Jose Mourinho.
