According to reports, the Italian is not inclined to represent the country's vice champions, even though his contract was supposed to be valid for another year.
Materazzi would like to test his skills abroad, and then return to Inter and start a coaching career.
The football player joined the Inter team in 2001, but last season played a more episodic role.
