Three friendly international matches were played by the national teams on Tuesday, with as many as 22 games scheduled for Wednesday.

Yesterday, the Latvian national team had to admit defeat to Finland in an away game. The hosts took the lead after J. Johansson's goal, and although Latvian M. Zemlinskis equalized the score with a penalty kick from 11 meters, the victory for the Finns was sealed by K. Huusko's goal in the 72nd minute of the match.

The match between Cyprus and Austria was marked by drama - Austrians took the lead thanks to R. Kirchler's goal, but in the last minute of the match, C. Charalambides equalized the score. The Cypriots were more successful in the penalty shootout.

In the friendly match between African teams, a draw was recorded as Ivory Coast could not overcome DR Congo at home and played to a 2-2 result.

On Wednesday, there will be twenty-two more friendly matches in stadiums around the world, with the most interesting ones being considered England vs. the Netherlands, Germany vs. Argentina, France vs. Sweden, and Italy vs. Russia.

Four matches will take place in the World Cup qualification zone - Macedonia will play against Andorra, Albania will meet Ukraine, European champion Greece will play against Denmark, and Spain will face San Marino.

Meanwhile, today the Lithuanian national team will meet the local representative team in Georgia at 18:00 Lithuanian time. These friendly matches will be broadcast live on Lithuanian television.
