Ashley Young's desire to represent one of the great English clubs has come true: the Birmingham-born defender is moving to the team for €20 million.
The 25-year-old footballer underwent a medical examination on Thursday and signed a five-year contract.
"The opportunity to represent one of the best teams in the world came up and I couldn't turn it down," said Young. "I hope to contribute to Manchester United's 20th triumph in the English league."
Young became the second purchase of the team led by Sir Alex Ferguson this summer. Earlier, the young defender Phil Jones was acquired.
