It is reported that the Lithuanian national youth team (up to 21 years old) lost to the Georgian national team with a score of 1-0 in a friendly match held today (Wednesday). The winning goal was scored by Sandro Burul in the 55th minute from an 11-meter penalty.

In the first match this year, the Lithuanians did not show particularly good performance in Tbilisi and had to admit the superiority of the Georgians, but the coach of the youth team Vitalis Stankevičius did not overemphasize the defeat.

"The game was good, it was the first time this year that we played on grass. I felt that the Georgians were well prepared and it was noticeable. They are a technical team, and we made a lot of mistakes in passing. I have no complaints about the refereeing," said the head coach V. Stankevičius.

Meanwhile, Georgian coach Goča Guntadzė, although he would have liked to win by a larger margin, was satisfied with the result, as he was missing several players and new ones were being tested instead.

"These were important matches for us. We tested new players. We could have played better, but I am still satisfied. Five of our players were not released by their clubs. We had many opportunities, but we only scored one goal," said Guntadzė.

Today, the national teams of both countries will also play - the match will start at 6 p.m. and will be broadcasted live on Lithuanian television.
