The new London strategist Andre Villas Boas assures that he will not interfere with the footballers' matches and does not intend to be a dictator.

A few days ago, the Portuguese strategist was appointed as the youngest in the English Premier League - he is only 33 years old. The same age as the defender Frank Lampard and the forward Didier Drogba.

"I am not a dictator," former Porto manager told the Sunday Mirror. "I encourage freedom of choice. Footballers can only reach their full potential when they are not overly restricted.

Creativity is very important to me. I admire how unpredictable football is. I believe that players need to express themselves and have the opportunity to decide for themselves."

Villas Boas added that he would not have accepted the offer from Chelsea if he did not feel capable of doing the job: "I want to be proud of my career in the future. I aspire to success, victories in championships, experience in different countries and levels, social and cultural environments.

This is the job I have always dreamed of. I agree that appointing such a young person as a coach may seem risky to others, but I believe in success."
