Rumors about forward Bojan Krkić leaving the Catalan club were further fueled by news about his father.
A few days ago, the official website of the Spanish champions announced that the contract with the footballer's father, Bojan Krkić senior, who had been working in the technical secretariat of Barcelona, will not be renewed. Krkić's powers will expire on June 30, and he has not been offered a new employment contract by Barcelona.
It was also reported that Francisco Martínez, who had been working with the footballer's father at Barça, will not continue his job at the club.
Recently, rumors have been actively circulating in the European sports media that the 20-year-old footballer may move to Italy and wear the jersey of AS Roma. This team is coached by former Barcelona B coach Luis Enrique.
According to unofficial data, Bojan would cost Roma approximately 10 million euros, but Barcelona would retain the right of first refusal to buy the forward for 12 million euros.
The player's current contract with Barcelona is valid until the summer of 2015.
