Failed swap, Tevez stays at "Man City" club © EuroFootball.com

Coach Roberto Mancini plans to keep forward Carlos Tevez in his team, as the exchange deal for Inter Milan's attacking leader Samuel Eto'o to join the English team did not work out.

The Argentine's future at the club owned by Arab sheikhs became unclear last season, when the 27-year-old footballer requested to be sold.

Although Tevez later withdrew his request, speculations about the leader of the 'Citizens' not finding happiness in Manchester continued.

"Man City" tried their best to convince the Argentine national team member to stay in the club, but did not rule out the possibility of exchanging him for Inter Milan's forward Eto'o.

However, Mancini revealed that negotiations with the Italian team were unsuccessful: "Tevez will stay in the team. He is a fantastic player.

The exchange for Eto'o did not work out, as "Inter" refused to sell the Cameroonian."
