Lisbon officially confirmed that they agreed to sell defender Fabio Coentrao to the Madrid club for 30 million euros. On Tuesday, the Portuguese will travel to Madrid, where they will agree on personal contract terms and undergo a medical examination. "Marca" adds that the value of the deal could decrease by 10 million euros if Real Madrid defender Ezequiel Garay agrees to move to Lisbon. The 23-year-old full-back had a contract with Benfica for another five seasons. Coentrao also attracted interest from Chelsea in London, but the player himself did not hide his desire to move to Madrid, where he will be able to work with compatriot coach Jose Mourinho. This is already the fifth purchase of the Spanish vice-champions this summer. Earlier, the team was reinforced by Turkish national team midfielders Nuri Sahin and Hamit Altintop, full-back Jose Callejon, and young defender Raphael Varane.
