Madrid also officially confirmed that they have signed a six-year contract with Lisbon defender Fabio Coentrao. The Portuguese team will receive about 30 million euros in compensation for the football player.
A few hours ago, this news was announced by the "Benfica" club, and the Madrid team confirmed that all formalities have been completed.
The 23-year-old full-back's contract with "Benfica" was supposed to be valid for another five seasons. Coentrao was also of interest to London's "Chelsea" club, but the player himself did not hide his desire to move to Madrid, where he will be able to work with fellow countryman coach Jose Mourinho.
