Sidney Govou returns to his native France - the football player has signed with the "Ligue 1" newcomer club "Evian".
The 31-year-old footballer won the country's championship seven times wearing the "Lyon" shirt, and last season he represented Greece's Athens team "Panathinaikos". However, he failed to shine abroad, so a few days ago the contract was terminated.
"I want to enjoy playing on the field and help the team," Govou said. "If we maintain consistency, the results could be different than many predict. It wasn't difficult to accept the offer."
In 20 Greek league matches, the forward scored only one goal.
