The club has extended the contract with the right-back Glen Johnson. However, the duration of the new agreement is not disclosed.
"We are very pleased," said the team's football director Damien Comolli. "It was not difficult to reach an agreement, as the player wanted to stay, and we wanted to continue to see him in the team. We are delighted that Johnson expressed a desire to tie his future for a long time."
Johnson, 26, arrived in Liverpool two years ago. He is a right-back, but last season he often played on the opposite side.
