The forward of London became the victim of a prank by Spanish radio station Cadena Cope's DJ. The footballer was completely convinced that he was talking to Madrid's sports director Emilio Butragueno on the phone and joyfully shared his thoughts of wanting to leave the English club.

Moreover, Reyes called his teammates "bad people", noting that he is not satisfied with his current situation.

"I would like to play for Real Madrid," shared the 21-year-old Spaniard, thinking that he was complimenting his future boss. "I have dreamed of it since childhood. I hope it will happen. I like how the Madrid team plays."

Reyes was bought by Arsenal for 17 million pounds in early 2004, and since then there have been reports in the press that he strongly longs for home. Reyes started the season in great form, but later faltered - and the main club competitors gradually pushed Arsenal out of the top of the league table.

"If I don't play for Real, I will continue to play with some bad people," added Jose Antonio. "I am sure there are no such people in Real's dressing room."

Meanwhile, just a couple of days ago, the Spanish player claimed something else: "I have a contract with Arsenal, I am happy to be here, and firmly determined to help the team win more trophies."

In recent days, Reyes has been trying in every way to fend off rumors about his possible move to Real, but noting that he enjoys such rumors.

This scandal will add headache to Arsenal's management. According to many experts, the team cannot afford to lose strong players - furthermore, to continue the tough competition with Chelsea and Man Utd, they also need new high-caliber players.
