Patrick Vieira has officially announced the end of his professional football player career and from now on will work with the club.
The defender, who became a world and European champion with the French national team, won the Italian championship three times with Inter Milan, and as many times the English premier league with Arsenal in London. In the last year and a half, the 35-year-old veteran has played for Manchester City.
From now on, the Frenchman will work with the team's youth and will also be the club's ambassador.
"My football player career has ended, but the new responsibilities are a huge challenge," said Vieira. "I will have to learn about football beyond the pitch, but I will be helped by experienced people, so I am sure that success will accompany me."
The Senegalese-born defender has also played for Cannes, Milan and Juventus teams in Turin.
