Strategist Sir Alex Ferguson denied rumors that the team would soon be joined by Milan star Wesley Sneijder.
Reports in the press suggested that the clubs had agreed on a €40 million deal, leaving only the Dutchman to sign the contract.
"I constantly read about it in the media, but the way it's written is definitely not true," Ferguson said. "First of all, I don't think Inter are preparing to sell Sneijder.
There are constant speculations and rumors in the public space. And we have to respond to them."
It was said that Manchester United's executive director David Gill had traveled to Milan to negotiate, but officially confirmed that he is currently attending a European Club Association meeting in Zurich.
