Strategist Sir Alex Ferguson once again confirmed that the club is not really interested in Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder.

On Wednesday, the Italian team denied receiving an offer from England, but rumors in the media were quiet about an alleged €40 million deal between the two sides.

"I am not involved in these matters, but for many reasons there is no real interest from our side towards Sneijder," said Ferguson. "I can't say more about it."

However, the specialist did not deny that a replacement is being considered for midfielder Paul Scholes, who retired this summer: "He was a wonderful, consistent footballer. I don't think we will find another Scholes.

Still, I hope a replacement will be found. Perhaps the player's style will be somewhat different. From time to time we face this problem, but we solve it by finding a player in the youth team or acquiring one from elsewhere."
