Third place in the Copa America tournament was won by the excellent performing Peru national team, who crushed Venezuela 4-1 thanks to Paolo Guerrero's three goals. Despite the loss, this was the biggest achievement in the history of the competition for the defeated team.
Guerrero not only scored a hat-trick, but also made an assist to William Chiroque, who scored in the 42nd minute to put the team ahead.
Venezuela managed to soften the scoreline after Peru's second goal, but Guerrero secured the victory at the end of the match.
In the final on Sunday, Uruguay will face Paraguay.
