"Copa America" trophy returns to Montevideo for the first time since 1995. In the 12th minute, Luis Suarez led the future champions with a goal, outwitting defender Dario Veron and sending the ball into Justo Villar's goal with a ricochet. Just before the end of the first half, Forlan doubled the lead, and at the end of the match, he scored a third goal after a great pass from Suarez.
