Fabregas caught between two loves cannot decide on the future © EuroFootball.com

London strategist Arsene Wenger doubts whether Cesc Fabregas can successfully prepare for the season while speculation about his future continues to swirl.

For years now, the club has been trying to secure his safety, but negotiations have so far been unsuccessful.

"Cesc is recovering from injury, but he is not at peace within the team," Wenger said. "You all know the rumors, so we want everything to be clarified as soon as possible."

Due to a calf injury, Fabregas has not played in any preseason matches yet. He will also miss the Emirates Cup tournament at the end of July.

"I want the player to focus all his attention on the club," Wenger added. "After all, he is the captain. The decision does not depend solely on me - Cesc himself has a say. At the moment, he is considering his options.

He must choose between two loves: the club where he started playing from a young age and the club that has taken care of him since he was 16 and gave him a chance. I understand this, but we want to know that he is dedicated to the team.
