One week before the Champions League round of 16 match between Madrid and Turin, the coach of the Turin team, Fabio Capello, stated that the winning streak of Real was due to luck.
Since the arrival of Wanderley Luxemburgo as coach just before the new year, Real won 7 games in a row and the Turin team's coach claims that the fantastic form of the Royal club is due to luck: "I watched the weekend match between Real and Osasuna and I have to say that luck was on their side, even though they played well. This winning streak gave them a psychological advantage."
Fabio Capello, who led Real to win La Liga in 1997, did not hesitate to praise his former club: "Since Luxemburgo's arrival, Real is definitely playing better. They can fight for the ball, their defense is stronger, but also luck is on their side. Although in December, everyone said that we would win, I constantly said that Real would bounce back. I was right and the match promises to be very intense.
