The club agreed to sell left-back defender Jose Enrique for 9.2 million euros. The deal is expected to happen later this week.
According to "Goal.com," the Liverpool team agreed to pay almost 7 million euros upfront, with an additional two million based on extra conditions.
Enrique's contract with Newcastle will expire next year, so the team managers are inclined to sell him this summer.
Last season, the Spanish player played 36 matches in the English championship but did not score any goals.
