Veteran Alessandro Nesta says he is not considering retiring yet.
It is speculated that the 35-year-old defender will hang up his boots next summer, but the Italian has not confirmed this.
"I intend to continue playing for as long as possible and retirement is something I see in the distant future," Nesta smiled.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming Italian Super Cup match with Inter Milan, which will take place in China for commercial purposes, the footballer stated: "Last season we defended very well, especially in the second half of the season.
Now we have new players, such as Philippe Mexes and Taye Taiwo, and we have retained the world's best defender Thiago Silva. So I think we will defend even better."
