For an undisclosed amount, which unofficial data suggests to be around 2.5 million euros, "Poli Timisoara" acquired goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon.

The 24-year-old footballer, who still needs to obtain a work permit, will be a backup goalkeeper behind Joe Hart. He will replace Shay Given, who moved to Aston Villa in Birmingham.

Pantilimon has represented the Romanian national team 13 times. The fourth team purchase after Gael Clichy, Stefan Savic, and Sergio Aguero, Pantilimon was also of interest to Schalke in Gelsenkirchen, Inter Milan, and several other clubs.

It has been reported that "Man City" is looking to attract Thomas Sorensen representing Stoke, but the almost 5 million euros demanded for him seemed too high.
