Alberto Aquilani's late goal secured Italy's victory at home in a friendly match against world champion Spain with a score of 2-1.

The hosts took the lead in the 11th minute when Ricardo Montolivo sent the ball into the net. The Spanish team soon lost forward Fernando Torres and defender Gerard Pique due to injuries, but Fernando Llorente managed to earn a penalty kick, which Xabi Alonso converted.

When it seemed like the teams would finish the match level, Aquilani sent the ball from afar and snatched the victory.

Germany continued to impress, beating Brazil 3-2 in front of their own fans.

Interesting fact - all five goals were scored in the last half-hour of the match.

In the 61st minute, Bastian Schweinsteiger scored, converting a penalty earned by Toni Kroos, and in the 67th minute Mario Gotze doubled the lead up close.

Brazil reduced the deficit when Robinho scored a penalty kick, but Andre Schurrle sealed Germany's victory. Neymar's late goal was only a consolation for the visiting team.

France and Chile ended their match in a 1-1 draw. Loic Remy gave the French hosts an advantage early in the game, but later the team could not capitalize on several chances. In the 77th minute, Nicolas Cordova restored parity after a header from Alexis Sanchez.

In the European Championship qualifying cycle, Lithuania's opponent Czech Republic hopelessly lost to Norway 0-3. Mohammed Abdellaoue (twice) and John Arne Riise scored the goals.

Portugal had no major problems, crushing Luxembourg 5-0.

Helder Postiga scored the first goal in the 23rd minute, and Rolando doubled the lead before half-time.
