Park Ji-sung has signed a new contract with the club and will represent them at least until the summer of 2013.

The football player, who arrived in England in 2005 from PSV Eindhoven, scored 24 goals in 177 matches.

"I enjoyed every minute spent here," said the 30-year-old South Korean national team member. "I am happy that a young team is being built before my eyes. I will try to contribute and help maintain our position."

His pupil was praised by "Man Utd" manager Sir Alex Ferguson: "Ji-sung has scored crucial goals in important matches. He is a popular team member who will greatly contribute to the development of the younger players."
