Newcomer Cesc Fabregas did not spare beautiful words for his former team and their coach Arsene Wenger.
The player who left London for 29 million euros said: "No player is more important than the club, so I was not that important in London.
I simply gave my all to this team for eight years. You can't see that in the trophy room because we only won the FA Cup, so the fact that I did not lift the cup as captain of Arsenal will probably be the biggest disappointment of my career. I will always be a supporter of this team, which gave me so much. I will never forget the time spent here."
Fabregas also praised Wenger: "I will never have enough words of gratitude for this specialist for what he did for me. In Barcelona, Wenger's reputation is not so good because of the unfair opinion presented, but I am mostly grateful to him for being here."
He added: "Friday's farewell was very emotional, as Arsene is like a father to me."
