In the final round of the Champions League qualification - in the knockout matches - the remaining five games were played on Wednesday evening. The hosts celebrated all victories.
Perhaps the biggest surprise was provided by the Danish vice-champion team "Odense", who defeated the Spanish representative "Villarreal" 1-0 at home.
Although the guests dominated and could have taken the lead if not for the fantastic performance of goalkeeper Stefan Wessels, in the end the victory was snatched by "Odense" and a slight advantage before the trip to Villareal was provided by "Odense" defender Henrik Andreasen.
In other matches, Munich's "Bayern" convincingly defeated "Zurich" 2-0.
Bastian Schweinsteiger scored with his head in the 8th minute, and in the 72nd minute Arjen Robben doubled the lead with a customary long-range shot.
