Are negotiations for Eto'o's transfer to "Anzhi" stuck? © EuroFootball.com

Samuel Eto'o still cannot become the highest paid football player on the planet - Milan's negotiations with Makhachkala's "Anzhi" about the sale of the Cameroonian striker got stuck on Thursday.

It is reported that "Anzhi" is offering 24 million for the player, while "Inter" is demanding 30 million euros.

Eto'o himself, according to reports, has already agreed on personal contract terms. He would put his signature on a three-year contract worth 20 million euros per season, significantly surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo from "Real" Madrid (12 million) and Lionel Messi from "Barcelona" (10.5 million).

"At the moment, I am not feeling optimistic," said intermediary and FIFA agent Peppino Tirri. "There is still a lot to put in place, nothing is settled."

A few days ago, "Inter" president Massimo Moratti stated that Eto'o will most likely be sold, because "such an offer has been received, which is impossible to refuse."
