Brazil's Oscar became the first footballer to score three goals in the final of the world youth (under 20) championship and help his team beat Portugal 3-2 after extra time.

The main match ended 2-2. It seemed like the eleven would not have enough in extra time, but with less than ten minutes left, Oscar, who had led the Brazilians forward twice before, scored the winning goal.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper wears the shirt of the "Internacional" club.

Mexico won third place in the tournament held in Colombia, beating France 3-1.
