Valdano: what happened does not do credit to "Real" and Mourinho © EuroFootball.com

The behavior of the head coach of Madrid, Jose Mourinho, in the second Spanish Super Cup match was condemned by the former general director of the team, Jorge Valdano.

After a harsh foul by Marcelo against Cesc Fabregas, a scuffle broke out on the field among players, but the Real coach did not stay on the sidelines. Mourinho approached Barcelona assistant coach Tito Vilanova and pulled his ear while poking a finger in his eye.

Furthermore, later it was revealed that the Portuguese coach tried to hit Fabregas, who was lying on the ground, in the head. One of his assistants stopped the coach.

"Such actions bring no honor to either the Real club or Mourinho himself," Valdano evaluated the coach's behavior. "I believe that no one is proud of what happened on the field on Wednesday."

"The head coach arrived at a club that has existed for 109 years. Madrid's Real has a strong and unique culture, but now the tension between Real and Barça is felt by everyone," Valdano said.
