Surprising many with its ambitions, the Machachkala "Anzhi" club would like to shake up the transfer market with another purchase.
The Russian team, which already has Roberto Carlos in its lineup, this summer has already attracted Yuri Zhirkov from London's "Chelsea" and, it seems, after long negotiations, reached an agreement with the Milan "Inter" for the acquisition of forward Samuel Eto'o.
But that's not all.
According to the Catalan newspaper "Sport.es," the team of the controversial billionaire Suleiman Kerimov is prepared to make a breathtaking offer to defender Dani Alves: a yearly salary of 15 million euros.
It is said that the Spanish champions would be offered a compensation of 35-40 million euros for the footballer.
However, journalists were quick to calm down the Barcelona fans. Sources close to Brazil reportedly state that Dani Alves himself is not interested in such temptations, as the 27-year-old footballer is now more focused on top-level football, victories, and trophies, rather than a astronomical offer from Russia.
In the spring, Dani Alves signed a new contract with "Barcelona," valid until June 30, 2015, and the player's buyout clause was increased from 90 million euros to 150 million euros. However, the new contract includes a provision that the buyout amount is reduced by 25 million euros annually.
"Sport.es" concludes that the Brazilian would reject such an offer from "Anzhi" if the Russians officially approached "Barcelona" for his sale.
