Luka Modric will not be included in the London squad for the match with , as, according to coach Harry Redknapp, he is not in the right mindset.
This summer, the capital team rejected two offers from Chelsea for the Croat, which were worth 25 and 30 million euros. The player himself did not hide that he would like to leave.
"Luka will not play because his thoughts are elsewhere. This midfielder is very important for the team, but first we need to solve the issue of his future," the coach said.
According to the coach, the fact that Chelsea signed a deal with Spanish player Juan Mata on Sunday fundamentally changes the situation.
"I think they will not try to buy Modric anymore. Our position remains unchanged - he is not for sale," added Redknapp, also confirming that this summer they will still try to acquire a few new players.
