UEFA has disqualified London's strategist Arsene Wenger from two matches.
This punishment was given to the Frenchman for not following the rules and, while already suspended, directly communicating with the team in the first Champions League knockout match against "Udinese." In addition, "Arsenal" will have to pay a fine of 10,000 euros.
Indeed, the London team intends to appeal, as they claim that in consultations with UEFA before the match against "Udinese," which Wenger watched from the stands, there was no prohibition on communicating with assistant Pat Rice through another coach. The Frenchman gave instructions to another colleague, who then relayed them to Rice over the phone.
The new punishment took effect immediately, so in the return match in Udine, Wenger will once again not be able to be on the sidelines.
