London leaders intend to calm anxious fans by attracting the star Eden Hazard.
The 20-year-old Belgian national team member is valued at 31 million euros.
Approximately this amount will soon be received by an English club from "Man City" for Frenchman Samir Nasri, whom they would like to replace with Hazard.
Last season, the young talent was named the best player in the French league. Lead by him, the "Lille" team triumphed in national competitions and also won the country's cup.
However, "Lille" does not intend to part with Hazard so easily. According to general manager Frederic Paqueta, he is not for sale.
"This summer, Eden will not leave. We are aware of the interest from some of the most powerful clubs in Europe, but we are not ready to sell him," Paquetas said. "Hazard is happy here, understands our project, and wants to help implement it for at least one more season."
