The club hopes to acquire the young star of the Uruguayan national team, Sebastian Coates, by the end of this summer.
Currently, the English are negotiating with the team "Nacional" from his homeland for a deal worth about 10 million euros.
The central defender shone in the "Copa America" tournament in July and would like to join his fellow countryman Luis Suarez, who has been playing for Liverpool since the beginning of this year.

Coates was also of interest to Man City, but should become Liverpool's sixth summer signing after Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing and Jose Enrique.
