During training, experienced defender Gerard Pique suffered a calf injury and will be out of the lineup for three weeks.
The center-back will miss Friday's match for the European Super Cup against "Porto," as well as a friendly match with Chile and a qualification match against Liechtenstein for the Old Continent tournament.
The 24-year-old footballer arrived at Barcelona in 2008 from "Man Utd" and has established himself in the main lineup. Up to now, he has already won 11 trophies.
Since another defender Carles Puyol is also injured, most likely Eric Abidal and Javier Mascherano will play in the heart of defense.
