Madrird coach Jose Mourinho wrote an open letter to fans in which he denied rumors that he could leave the club.
There were rumors that the Portuguese coach was not satisfied with the lack of support from Real's leaders, so he is considering stepping down from his position.
"Only those who do not know me can dream, invent, or expect me to leave at this time," Mourinho wrote.
"I believe many people were surprised to see the level of football the team demonstrated during the preseason. So it is impossible for me to resign.
"I work with a fantastic president, who is very wise and has become a good friend of mine. There is also a general director who works 24 hours a day, so my motivation is endless."
Mourinho also apologized for his behavior during the Spanish Super Cup match against Barcelona, when he hit the opponent's assistant coach, Tito Vilanova.
"I would like to apologize to all Madrid fans, and only to them, for my behavior. Some are better adapted than I am to hypocrisy in football - they hide their faces and speak behind their hands," the Portuguese vividly spoke.
He added: "I'm not going to become a hypocrite - I don't want to be one."
