One of the best strikers playing in the Old Continent, Samuel Eto'o, signed a three-year contract with the club from Machachkala on Wednesday evening.
The ambitious Russian team paid about 21 million euros for the football player from Milan. The Cameroonian himself will earn 10 million euros per season and will be among the highest-paid players in the world.
"Samuel is a well-known striker all over the world," said Anzhi representative Alexander Udaltsov. "This is a great deal. He will help us achieve our goal - to qualify for the Champions League. We have taken a big step forward."
During his career, 30-year-old Eto'o, who wore shirts with the number 99, represented clubs such as the Real Madrid reserves, Leganes, Mallorca, and Barcelona.
Since 2009, he has played for Inter, and last season in the Italian championship, he scored 21 goals in 35 matches.
