The strike of the two highest Spanish football leagues has ended, so matches will take place this weekend as planned.
The first round in two divisions did not take place because the players' association (AFE) and league representatives (LFP) did not agree on a new collective agreement.
AFE wanted a separate fund to be created from which footballers would be paid when their clubs become insolvent due to financial difficulties. The situation is viewed as critical, as two hundred footballers clubs are currently owed about 50 million euros.
However, it was agreed that the debt will be repaid, and footballers will be able to terminate their contract when they are not paid their wage.
