Managing Director David Gill claims that this summer the club does not plan to acquire new football players.
For several months, there have been rumors that the ranks of the English champions may be joined by Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder. However, according to Gill, coach Sir Alex Ferguson is satisfied with the squad and does not plan to strengthen it.
"I don't think there will be another purchase," said one of the Man Utd officials. "We don't see the need for it, as we are happy with the team.
I am confident that Ferguson will reach the full potential with these players in the coming months. We are ready for the season."
Man Utd acquired goalkeeper David De Gea from Atletico Madrid, defender Phil Jones from Blackburn, and winger Ashley Young from Aston Villa during the summer. The total purchase amount is around 57 million euros.
